Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 26, 2026
This page describes the privacy practices for Your Screen, an Android app that plays movies and series from a USB OTG pendrive.
Overview
Your Screen is an Android multimedia app that plays movies and series from a USB OTG pendrive on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, how local media is handled, and what we do not collect.
By using Your Screen, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the app.
Information we collect
Your Screen does not require an account and does not ask you to create a profile.
We do not collect personal identity information such as your name, email address, phone number, or payment details through the app.
We do not upload your video files, thumbnails, or playlist folder names to Your Screen servers.
Permissions and local device access
To find and play videos on a connected USB drive, Your Screen may request storage-related permissions on Android, including All files access / manage external storage and read access to media on removable volumes.
These permissions are used only to locate a movies-series folder, list playlist folders and video files, generate on-device thumbnails when needed, and stream playback from the drive.
Media stays on your pendrive or device storage. Playback streams locally and is not copied to a remote service by Your Screen.
How we use information
Local folder and file paths are used solely to present categories, video grids, and playback inside the app.
Connection state for USB volumes is used to auto-detect drives, refresh libraries, and support safe eject messaging.
Your Screen does not sell personal data and does not use your video library for advertising.
Data sharing
Because Your Screen does not collect personal account data or upload your media library, there is no personal media inventory to share with third parties.
If you install the app through an app store, that store’s own privacy practices may apply to download analytics and account billing outside Your Screen.
Data retention
Any temporary playback state or cached thumbnails kept on the device exist to improve local browsing and playback. They are not used to build a cloud profile.
Uninstalling Your Screen removes the app and its local app data from the device according to Android behavior.
Children’s privacy
Your Screen is a general-audience media player for files you place on a USB drive. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
Your Screen keeps media access on-device. You remain responsible for the physical security of your phone, OTG adapter, and pendrive, and for deciding which files you store on removable media.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app’s features or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision.
Continued use of Your Screen after an update means you accept the revised policy.
